Coming up Dec. 3:

Holiday Shopping?
Here's an idea (or two, or three)!

How about adding something uniquely "Pittsford Village" to your holiday shopping list this year? Charms are definitely "in" this season-and now you can purchase one that features the Village logo-in your choice of gold, silver, brass, or pewter. Price: $7.95. What a great stocking-stuffer!

Not into jewelry? How about a white porcelain tree ornament, also embossed with the Village logo? This one is $8.95 (and it can be personalized, if you wish.)

Several of you have asked about the availability of the colorful 175th Anniversary banners featured at the Four Corners this summer. The banners can be purchased at the village offices.

You can purchase any or all of these "uniquely Pittsford" items at the Village Hall. Charms and ornaments may be purchased at the following village shops: Elaine's of Pittsford, Port of Pittsford Gifts, Secret Garden Gifts, J.Q. Public, Ewe Too, Our Front Porch, Echoes of Time, Black Sheep (charms only), Up the Creek (charms only).

For hundreds of area residents, Candlelight Night has become a tradition. The first Tuesday evening in December finds families crowding the streets at the Four Corners and along the canal. Thousands of lights twinkle, candlelight glows behind frosty glass panes, music wafts from carolers, and every storefront door has a welcome sign.

As dusk darkens, it's "Open House" time at the Village Hall on North Main Street, with the lighting of the village Christmas tree on the front lawn at 6:00 P.M.. By 9 p.m., the crowds will begin to disperse, shopping bags and packages in hand. Among them will be many children who will remember for years their annual visit with a jovial Santa and the horse-and-carriage rides that make this holiday shopping event memorable.
