APPLICATION PROCEDURES: ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR ALL APPLICATIONS:
1. The Zoning Board of Appeals meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. local time at the Pittsford Village Hall, unless such meetings are rescheduled by the Board of Appeals.
2. The applicant, or the applicant's duly authorized agent, must appear at all public hearings held on the application.
3. The burden of proof for all applications is on the applicant, who should be prepared at the time of the public hearing to describe the application and to state the necessity for the application.
4. Written comments from interested parties regarding the application must be filed with the Secretary to the Board of Appeals. (Village Clerk) prior to the closing of the public hearing
   
REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS
1. A complete application (application form attached) must be filed with the Village Clerk not less than 30 days prior to the date of the proposed public hearing (General Municipal Law 239-m).
2. An application to the Board of Appeals for a variance or special exception use will not be accepted until all required materials have been deemed to be complete and accurate by the Village Clerk.
3. Requirements for all applications:
 
a. Application form must be typed or printed and signed.
b. Application form must be signed by the Owner of the property even when the application is sought by the lessee/renter or authorized agent.
c. An instrument survey map or tape location map must be part of this application to show existing and proposed structures.
d. An application fee of $50.00 must accompany the application. This is used to cover the cost of legal notice publication and other administrative costs.
